Polaris - Apex Armouries Heavy Mech - WarDriver [Cyberpunk Machine Warfare]
WarDriver sends players 200 years into the future where a rogue sentient AI has turned on humanity, wreaking havoc and mayhem on technological developments. Having emerged from a 20-year long "dark age", humanity is slowly recovering and has developed ways to invent and create new technologies to combat the AI and recover remnants of their past and lost technologies.
On the tabletop, players take control of 2-3 Wardrivers; highly specialised, cybernetically enhanced human soldiers-for-hire which bring along their combat groups of 32mm scale mechs and drones to help in their mission. WarDrivers are not only combat capable themselves, but they also share a wireless, direct neural link to their mechs within a very close area which allows them to redirect resources and take control of their mechs to push them to their full limits when needed.
